Winter of 2014 brought many changes as to the international system as to the internal system of Ukraine. The country that was known for its separateness from European states and allegiance with Russia, comes back to its roots, comes back to Europe. People of Ukraine fought for their freedom, liberty and choice.

With the newly elected president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, the country signed Association Agreement. It has not only political or economical meaning, but that is a symbolic event, a promise to pursue European dream.

Ukraine opens up to Europe, and indeed it has many things to offer. With the reformation of the system in Ukraine and prospect of further cooperation, European citizens become more attracted to visit Ukraine, to meet its people and discover the culture. From the tourist perspective we have decided to highlight 3 places in Ukraine that deserve your attention.

First of all we would like to start with the capital of Ukraine – Kiev. Besides numerous museums, exhibitions and Independence Square we advise you to visit Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. It is one of the largest Orthodox shrines of Ukraine, landmark of history and architecture, as well as acting monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate. This is an ensemble of monumental art and a masterpiece of world architecture.

Another beautiful city is Lviv. In fact it is one in Ukraine and it is not surprising that Lviv is often called Little Paris of the East.
